    Bees Bees Bees

I keep hearing about how the bee population is fading out, but from my view I cannot agree. Last month we had a colony of honey bees move into one of our walls. A bunch of them got into my boys bedroom, my bathroom and my tenants kitchen. We had called a beekeeper but by the time he could get here the bees in the house were gone and he could not find any to follow and pinpoint the hive so we thought ok he said they're gone but keep your eyes out. We thought we were in the clear until I came home to bees in the house again today. On top of that last week we found 2 small beehives in my husband's car. We now have to keep feeling the walls for warm spots and listen for any humming and hoping my walls have not and will not become big honeycombs.

    Merry Meet!

Well, what can I say? I'm a mom to 4 kids and my path is eclectic. Recently I have been challenging my family to come up with new uses for things so we are less wasteful. I just this weekend rearranged and organized my daughter's room. I hung those chains with the clips on them to hold stuffed animals neatly from her ceiling, it was so nice to be able to see her room looking so great. Anyhow my 3 year old son found a new use for those toy chains.... a swing. He got more than he expected though when after a few swings not only did he and the chain hit the ground, but a portion of the suspended ceiling. I guess it's a lesson learned for both of us, I guess I need to be more clear with him about what kind of things might need a new use.

I look forward to being a part of the community!
